Rooikraal Game Terms & Conditions

1. All game must be accompanied by a hunting permit/letter of authority from farm owner/manager on receipt of game.

2. All warthog must be accompanied by above as well as a transport permit.

3. No game will be taken in with the hide or hoof still on the carcass, intestines must be removed.

4. Game must be clean and not smell stale or stuffy.

5. No warm carcasses will be accepted, will have an effect on cold room temperatures.

6. All carcasses will be weighed in on arrival and weight registered on the processing sheet.

7. Processing sheet to be completed and signed by the customer.

8. Intake weight and processed weight will differ due to weight loss.

9. All processing will strictly be done according to completed processing sheets

8. Rooikraal Game remains the owner of processed meat until paid in full and meat will not be released before final payment is done on-site or EFT payment reflect in the bank account.

9. We do not have offset for bones and blood meat and these products remain the responsibility of the hunter.

10. Processing may take anything from 7-14 working days depending on the time of the season.

11. The butchery does not have freezing space for processed meat and can not take responsibility
for meat not collected timeously

12. In the case of notification of processed meat ready for collection and not collected within 48 hours, the meat will be sold to recover input costs.

13. Email, Phone call, SMS or WhatsApp will be sufficient proof of notification.

14. All raw meat processed products are charged on final production weight which includes ingredients and casings

15. All cooked, smoked or dried products are charged on final production weight which includes ingredients and casings before cooking, smoking or drying

16. Any marinades used will be charged separately

17. Any spices used to enhance a product (Steaks, chops, ribs or rolls) will be a separate charge

18. Drying of biltong and drywors will be charged on final wet weight including ingredients and casings

19. Prices are subject to change without notice due to price changes from suppliers

20. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment

Sunday by appointment only as per specified times

Sunday Receiving: Please confirm on Sunday morning before 09h00 if you will still deliver as per booking.

22. Collection 

Monday – Friday 09h00 to 17h00

Saturday 09h00 to 16h00

Sunday – No collections 

No collection outside scheduled hours

23. If we allow by prior arrangement a different after-hour check-in time, please ensure that you bring along extra hands for offloading, as staff will not be available for offloading.
